HOUSEKEEPING
IF YOU SIGNED UP FOR THE "STRANDED ANGEL" ALBUM CLASS coming in March,
YOU MUST TELL ME IF YOU BOUGHT THE "Austria KIT" because if you DID,
you will already have the postcard necessary to complete the album and won't require another one.
IF you did NOT buy the Austria kit, i must tell you that there are VERY limited numbers of kits WITH the POSTCARD so if you need a kit that includes the postcard, YOU MUST TELL ME RIGHT AWAY!
Thank you for your undivided attention.

Austria KIT PROJECT No. 2
(I STILL HAVE 2 KITS LEFT!!!)
"Powerful Changes"
I started with the paper bookslip cover.
(whatever it's called, i really don't know
the official word)

__________________________________________
I used 2 of the napkins, the Birdie and

________________________________________
the "journey" one.

_________________________________________
Before mod podging or doing ANYTHING to the cover,
I typed my quote into the label space
on the cover (see photo later in the post).
I then mod podged first the "journey" napkin,
then the Birdie onto the cover of the book cover.
I added some clouds cut out from a piece of paper.
Then stamped and embossed various words
right over top the whole thing.

Ollie likes to see all my completed projects...
He's a nosey little guy,
but I always take the time to show him
what I've made. :)

________________________________________
I added the inside pages which are
folded 8.5 x 11 paper.
Then used an elastic with metal clips on end,
to sew 2 signtures into the now "journal".
I used the blue masking tape to add a signature
not "sewn" in.

This is a good shot of the embossed words,
letters overtop the cover.
It provides a "binding" together of the elements
in my opinion.

This is the photo of the typed quote on the book cover
which I did before I did ANYTHING else or
it would have never fit in the typewriter.

__________________________________________
I added a piece of the butterfly feather which i
had left over from the butterfly
that was featured in
Project No. 1.

Pretty little Spring time journal...
How could I in good conscience
leave it this way??

_________________________________________
Of course, I can't leave it all pretty.
I added human aspects to the bird so as to
completely change the overall feeling of this journal.
I added a bunch of elements to the inside pages.
Envelopes, notes paper, tags etc.

A peek inside

_________________________________________
You can see the 2 index card layouts
I did in the Feb. class
which are now stored in this journal.
They had to go somewhere right?
These kinds of journals ARE GREAT
for all those things you make that
don't have a place to rest.

_________________________________________
My finished journal.
I'll show it to you in a month or 2 if you remind me.
It'll look full and busting at the seams and
just might be full of a bunch of
cute and weird and whacked little projects. :)
