Day 1: Frankfurt Airport
we stayed at a hotel right in the airport. Of course at 2:00 a.m. we were wandering around the airport because it was daytime for us according to our clocks.
If you know anything about the way we travel, we LOVE airports...whether we want to or not. ;)
Birgitz Austria: the Alpin Hotel. We stayed here the nights of Jan. 11, 12, 13, 14 and 15. This was the view from our room the night of the 11th...It was the middle of the night here, but the middle of the day for us. jeeeeessssshhhhhhh!!!!
Day 2: Jasper and Brian go skiing ans snowboarding, no matter how tired they were! I walked around Birgitz, getting my bearings and seeing what's to see. Yes, I don't ski. I hate it with a passion...
It was an outstanding day! BEAUTIFUL! except, only one problem...most stores, shops, etc. closed from 12:00-2:00! my coffee, journalling time...what to do, what to do??
So i just took a LOT of photos. And had a nap.
Day 4: i think?
Jasper and Brian headed to the mountain top to barrel down on 2 sticks and a board and I headed into Innsbruck to navigate the surroundings. This is a photo of the scenery from Birgitz to Innsbruck whilst travelling on a bus. The public transport system here makes Calgary look like it has ZERO public transport system.

Lots and LOTS of things going on with respect to the YOG. This is...Yoggl, (i think his name was). he's the YOG mascot.
I chose my favourite building very quickly. This beautiful pink one i would like to take home.
I like the orange and blue ones as well. I like them all!
the decore in the Alpin Hotel reminds me of Saskatchewan. lots of antlers and stuffed heads of animals. I get the antlers, the stuffed heads are questionable as appealing dining room surrounding...
Back to the YOG and all the stuff to see and do

All of the photos were taken with my iphone and many using the Hipstamatic camera app. I LOVE that app and I love the really unique pictures that I can take with it.
Casey's event is on Jan. 22. We're pretty excited about that, but it still seems SOOOOOOOO far away!!
I'll try to post following the event IF i can, to let you know how it went!

hey, i wonder if you guys are back already...Holy moly, Jasper has grown so much. Totaly teenage dude now! Beautiful looking place.
Re. decor, you should come visit us, we had to dine underneath the mounted "torso" of a black bull above our heads the other night. Deep Spain, as they say here. What a great experience for you all. Nice to see your faces :) ciao for now!
