and I can't really express great joy in that fact, but such is life when one goes travelling. The return to reality bites!
The return home is NEVER good for me.
I have to share these few photos taken by DSMimages. They are fantastic photos and I am so happy the people at DSMimages were willing to share with us!
WE couldn't be prouder of our 2 woman bob-sleigh team! They didn't pull their personal best times, nor did they win a medal, however, the difference between a medal and not is 10ths of a second. A simple fraction of an inch slower and you are out of medal running.
The experience was second to none for Casey and although it was exhausting, emotionally draining and stressful, it was at the same time fun, gratifying, inspiring and it was an experience she will never forget!
And there are very few people in the world that can claim the title of an "Olympian" or a "Young Olympian" and Casey is now one of those very very few...
We in turn, had a fantastic time even though Jasper does not yet get the "joy" in museums, nor does he find them inspring and peaceful (so i left him at the hotel so as not to cause a major ruckus in the museums) while Brian and I ventured a few times and spent hours enjoying them.
I'll post more photos etc. over the next few weeks I'm sure!

The "Stuff i found in Austria while wandering around but not really and truly lost" KIT
There's a LOT of stuff in this little kit. I didn't count the number of pieces but it's over 50, that's for sure.
I will be using everything in this kit in one project or another over the next couple of months. Included in each kit is an old envelope from the very first Olympics held in 1963 in Innsbruck. They are wonderfully cool envelopes that I purchased for the kits. There's the prettiest little birdie, 2 post cards (one of which is different in every kit) and one the same. The art is done by French artists and I bought a number of these postcards which I will be using to make an album I've designed. You'll be seeing a number of these postcards used in a varity of projects over the months.
There's a lot of stuff that I loved and is not usually things most scrapbookers may use in their scrapping, but I really liked the stuff so I bought it or collected it from a variety of places.
Cost: $35.00 plus shipping
(i've already sold half of my supply so...just sayin'!)
Here's a couple of images of the product found in the kit...
Send me an Email to gloriafroese@mac.com to purchase.
be back soon...

I have shared your comments with Casey everyone! she says thanks so much and she was so happy that people cared enough to comment, especially because you "don't even know her!"
Lisa Mitch, I don't think you really do get used to being where you are. as a species we're always on the lookout for the "other".

hey, glad to hear you're back and all's well.
(I wonder if perhaps it's possible to *never* get over the "getting back" part...It's been almost a month and I am still feeling funky...Mine's the reverse of yours ;) Sigh...!)

done Pammy! at 4:45 this a.m.
I am still suffering from "European time". It's really not good because there's not much open at 4:45 a.m. and the LAST thing I need to do is lay in bed THINKING! YIKES!
I can sometimes be a "dweller" and i hate doing that. the same thoughts going around in my head over and over and over and over and over...how many times can one think about one thing and never have the mind tire of it? MILLIONS i would suggest!

Tell Casey we are so proud of her! And we are really happy for her to have had such an amazing experience. Just imagine where she can go from here. Hope you get over the "being back home blues" soon.
Love from Lisa and Willow.
